Open Up’s mission is to teach mindfulness tools through movement and art practices that center people living with disabilities. Our programs are open to all who identify as having a disability and those who do not. They are for everyone.

Our History and Milestones

2015: Founded under fiscal sponsorship, Launched Open Schools program in Pre-K – 12 classrooms.

2020: Became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Opened ADA-accessible studio in Lawrenceville.

2025: Celebrating our 10th year, Midyear loss of anticipated federal funding lead to budget constraints — cut 50% staff while working toward 2026–29 strategic planning.
