Celebrating 50th Episodes of Sunday Safe Spaces
We’re thrilled to share that SSS has reached its 50th episode—what an incredible journey it has been! On May 18th, we’ll be going live to mark this special milestone with a meaningful conversation on caregiving, a topic that beautifully reflects the heart of our mission.
Sunday Safe Spaces is a monthly podcast and virtual gathering space hosted by April Jackson and Wesley Hamilton, dedicated to amplifying voices, lived experiences, and pressing issues that impact our communities. With over 40 episodes and 50+ diverse guests, our platform holds space for authenticity, healing, and collective growth.
When we launched this podcast, our vision was clear: to uplift and support the BIPOC community by centering voices that are often overlooked in the disability space—an area that has long been dominated by whiteness and lacking in true representation. We wanted to create an inclusive, virtual space that blends mindfulness, accessibility, and authentic storytelling, all rooted in equity and healing.
Over the past 49 episodes, we’ve been honored to welcome guests from across the country, sharing their insights and lived experiences on topics like caregiving, mental health, maternal health, disability employment, the power of art, and more. Each episode has been a step toward building deeper connections and greater awareness.
We can’t wait to celebrate this 50th episode with you. Join us on May 18th as we continue to grow, reflect, and hold space for healing conversations.
